Final beer calculator
Work out the alcohol content, attenuation, colour and bitterness of your beer – before brewing as a plan, and afterwards with your measured values.
Alcohol and attenuation
From the original gravity before pitching and the final gravity after fermentation, the calculator works out the alcohol by volume and the apparent attenuation. You can measure in degrees Plato or as specific gravity (SG).
Beer colour in EBC or SRM
Enter your malts with amount and colour. The calculator estimates the beer colour with the Morey formula and shows it in EBC or SRM, with a colour swatch.
Bitterness in IBU
For each hop addition you enter the amount, alpha acids and boil time. Bitterness is calculated with the Tinseth formula. Whirlpool hops count too: temperature and time until chilling are included. With a target IBU the calculator shows how much hops you need.
Good to know
You can carry the values straight over to the priming sugar calculator. Every Brauwerkstatt recipe can be loaded into the calculators with one click.
